Kansas City Homes & Style runs an annual survey that asks metro builders to put forward the house they consider most representative of their work. The 2016 issue profiled eleven builders.

Faust Construction presented the Manica Lake House at Lake Lotawana, a 4,000 square foot split level built on a steep, narrow lot that required steel reinforcement and ten months on site.
